Super Strap by Red Art Inc.

Got a chance to take out the New Super Strap by Red Art Inc. this weekend to Plaster City for the race. Wanted to give it a good test and basically see if I could break it. Unfortunately, I could not break it by pulling the truck out even when I buried it very deep. Here is a rundown of my review of the Super Strap.

When I first opened the wrapper on the SS I noticed how thin the cord was. Immediately, I was thinking that there is no way this strap is going to pull my truck out of a nasty jam. Second, there is no loop or hook! Where am I going to attach this thing to my truck and how? RedArt shows you the proper technique for "weaving" the cord through itself for strength. We followed the simple directions and looped it around my rear bumper, hence the picture above.

The next step was making sure my truck was good and buried. I backed up into a small hill and floored it in reverse. I made sure to bury the truck down to the axle. This way I could really test the strap.

We hooked up the other end of the Super Strap to my friend Khris' Explorer 4wd. The strap we tested was 25' long but Red Art also offers the Super Strap in 20' and 50' lengths.

After two quick yanks my truck was moving backwards up the hill and out to safety. All of us were shocked that the Super Strap didn't break or shred considering we have all seen normal tow ropes that are twice as thick tear or hooks come flying off turning it into an instant death weapon.

I highly recommend you pickup a Super Strap as soon as possible. It is a great lightweight rescue strap that doesn't need a loop or hook to work. No more tying your yellow tow rope into a knot around someone's rear end either!

Note: For racers and chasers this is a great strap that takes up nearly no space in your pitbox!

-For tight situations the Super Strap can be adjusted as short as 18 inches
-Red color for easy visibility in the thick dirt & sand
-100% nylon weave construction, No stitching to come apart

CONS:

-At a price of $39.99 for the 25' Strap I would like to see a carrying case/pouch for easy storage.

OVERALL:

Would I purchase a Super Strap? YES
Will it be replacing my yellow tow rope? YES
