Damn this guy can drive...... Robby and his Team have put together an action packed hour plus long film covering his offroad racing action, crazy glamis jumping and bonzin, aftermath, interviews covering his take on racing baja, the cost to get out there and what it's like to ride SHOTGUN with a master behind the wheel! I personally learned a few things about RG that I did not know before pressing play tonight on my DVD. I would definitely not classify this video as a Documentary but it touches briefly on the history of Robby and his Father Bob's early racing years and the original home shop that started it all. You would think with the big name of NASCAR behind RG Racing he would seem "untouchable". However, he sure seems like one of the more down to earth guys out there.

What I liked!

Never shared fresh footage! It was SO nice to come across a video that had original footage that isn't sampled and torn apart in every other offroad video. Sure, you see some of the famous RG jumps in this film but you don't get to see the aftermath and Robby's personal comments in the other films! You can tell a good amount of his footage is shot by Helicopter and that really gives you a better view of the truck working. You can see the action for much longer versus a guy standing on a hill filming a truck going by at 105mph. I was lifted out of my seat seeing some of the sections he was hitting at over 100mph, the trucks suspension working, sand kicking up everywhere and nothing but loud ass engine noise to keep the bass vibrating your floor and pissing off your neighbors downstairs!

My favorite section of this DVD was definitely the BONUS FOOTAGE! The extra scenes were refreshing. Some great one on one interviews with RG talking about how much it cost to put it down in baja, what the machine called a trophy truck really is, crazy crashes and their aftermath, prerunning, pit stops, co-driving and on and on... This is the hot seller in my opinion. The video really lets you in on racing and what it's about. Oh yeah and don't miss the little RC racetrack section in baja, good stuff!

What I could have done without...

Glamis footage of people being idiots and super lifted trucks driving 5mph in the dirt thinking they are the shit! HAHA This stuff seems to find it's way in to every offroad video but with the overwhelming good stuff on the DVD I hardly cared.

My overall view?

I highly recommend adding this DVD to your offroad video collection! I had a great time watching the video and came out knowing more about Robby Gordon, The cost of Baja, saw some great crash footage, got to see that even RG gets his hands dirty and does some of his own TIG welding and more. Now get your lazy butt off the couch and go visit his new shop in Anaheim and pick up your copy today!
